On our first dry morning at Umlani, we spent a couple of hours in their Tree house - about 2 miles from the camp overlooking a waterhole. We had already finished our game drive so most of the mammals had disappeared as it started to get warm, but we saw a great selection of birds and had fun watching the crocodile trying to outsmart the Egyptian geese and snatch their last remaining gosling - apparently he had already taken three of them!
We also had a visit from a very inquisitive Woodland Kingfisher who posed for his photo:
